NEHS Grants Scheme 2014

NEHS Grants Scheme 2014

Profits from the Harrogate Flower Shows are handed back to the North of England Horticultural Society, enabling the charity to continue its important work in promoting horticulture.

In 2012 the society launched a grant scheme to provide funding for community projects in a range of categories across the north of England, with more than 40 groups receiving grants of up to £2,000 in the first year.

This year, the NEHS is widening the scope of the grant scheme to cover a wider range of people and projects. We are inviting applications in the following categories:

Improving our landscape - community societies, friends groups and organisations committed to developing their local landscape

Grow and learn - encouraging schools and colleges to become involved with horticulture

Horticultural education support - for individuals wishing to start a career in the industry

Special Award 2014: Commemoration - to help local communities improve or restore the landscape around their war memorials.

For further information please go to www.flowershow.org.uk/about-nehs/nehs-grants-scheme for more info, Terms and conditions and FAQ’s

The deadline for all applications is Monday 16 June 2014
